Stuehøj er en forholdsvis stor jættestue. Den blev tømt for oldsager ved en privat udgravning allerede i 1834. En del af genstandene befinder sig nu i Nationalmuseets magasiner.<br />
Ved beskrivelsen i 1875 manglede højens top og to dæksten var synlige. Den oprindelige indgang var dækket af jord og adgang til kammeret skete via et hul i loftet. I midten af 1960'erne blev der bygget parcelhuse i området og kammeret blev afspærret, fordi det var i fare for at styrte sammen.<br /><br />

Nationalmuseet foretog en restaurering af Stuehøj i foråret 2006. Hele den ene ende af kammeret var fyldt med jord, men den anden ende var til gengæld næsten tom. Det viste sig, at sydenden var meget velbevaret. Man fandt nogle ting, som var blevet overset ved udgravningen i 1834.<br /><br />
Der lå blandt andet en flintøkse og to flintdolke fra den sidste del af bondestenalderen. Der var også en lille ragekniv (barberkniv) af bronze. Kniven stammer muligvis fra en urnegrav, som har været gravet ned i højens top i slutningen af bronzealderen. <br />
